Well, folks we've completed the first of the three main steps of the process: the (official) bonding period is now over and we can petition to adopt these sweet little people. Though there's more to do over the next months by way of fostering the twin's attachment to us, for Brent and I it's all over and done--these little ones are ours in every way that could possibly matter. (Well, OK, there is the whole legal process in front of us, and I guess that does matter pretty importantly--but that doesn't matter to how we feel...)
We are utterly smitten.
Little Jess-man is fussy lots these days (teeth?), but does get interested in this toy despite himself...
